My Father, Richard Zajac was Executive Vice Present when the company was purchased by RF Macaroni in St. Louis. He was very young when he started working there and even came back after the Korean War.
30 years with company including after the acquisition (our entire family moved to St Louis) I have been collecting memorabilia. There are so many stories about this great company. There was actually a trademark battle theat went to congress with the American Red Cross. I have the transcript of the session and decision favoring Canepa. My father really admired.the Canepa Family.
Trying to find some long Marconi noodle.
My aunt Linda Canepa( maiden name Arata) was married to John Canepa the owner of Red Cross Spaghetti Company,my uncle would take me on a tour of the plant when I was approx. Eight or nine years old. Many years have passed. They lived at 190 E.Pearson st. Which no longer exists.
