My mom stepped on a wooden stick from what she remembers to be a Holloway candy when she was a kid in 1940’s or 1950’s Pullman. It went through her foot. I’ve been searching for a picture of the candy and stick unsuccessfully. It comes up in conversation every now and again and it’d be cool to have a visual.
I believe that that’s where we went as children they would have it open for the school kids to come in once a year or something like that and then went to a Catholic school near there we would walk there and then they would give us little candies as he went through just before we started a little tour.
Do you have any history of this?
M. J. Holloway produced a 48-card set titled “Pirates Treasure”, sometime in the 1930s. Any idea what specific year these trading cards were released?
I have a Halloways Black Cow penny candy box
