My dad worked at paragon diecast company (Lannert’s )dickens just east of austin
I believe they had contract with Zenith tv
My understanding is that they first set up shop on Harrison St. just west of Halsted, the current site of UIC dormitories.
Legend has it that Paragon Mfg. staked Galvin to the tooling to die cast the first bezel. They got stock in return, and supplied Motorola into the 80’s for all die casting. Led by Frank Lannert, Paragon was located next door to Motorola, and a leading inovator in thin wall die castings.
My grandmother worked there in July of 1921. It’s written and recorded on my father’s draft card.
