  1. I have a Skil-Craft Play Tool Set. Box No. 15. From my child hood. Tool box is maroon in color some of the tools are at my late parents house. I remember getting a genuine butt whipping from the hand saw in the set. My parents were building our(their) home and having my own tool set was going to “help” the carpenters. I decided to cut a “small” notch in one of the 8” X 8” cedar porch post. I don’t exactly know why, possibly just to help or to add that personal touch. Well that’s what I received was a personal butt whipping. I laugh about it now and tell my family of the lil tool set. Matter of fact, I went to a resale (vintage) shop with wife and stumbled upon a blue tool set with most of the tools inside. I believe I paid $35 proudly, because would have paid a $100 just for the memory. Thanks for your information. R Fry

  2. I worked @ Skil Craft from 1972-1974 in the office. It was owned by Mr Heller. I still have a rug making kit I received as a Christmas gift from them in 1973 that has not been opened. (Each Christmas we could choose 1 toy from their product line as a gift.) They were a good company to work for.
